NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD said more than 50 people were taken into custody Wednesday night as "large crowds of unruly fans" climbed on vehicles, set off fireworks and threw bottles at cops around Madison Square Garden during Game 4 of the NBA Finals.
Of the 56 people taken into custody, 15 were arrested and 41 were released on criminal court summonses, police said.
Ten members of the NYPD were injured, including one cop who was struck in the head with a glass bottle, according to police.
Dozens of people were also arrested Monday during a chaotic scene at Bryant Park. "Once again, there were large crowds of people who engaged in incredibly reckless and dangerous behavior last night both during and after the game," police said in a statement.

Around 10,000 people gathered in the area around Madison Square Garden for Game 4, despite there not being an official watch party Wednesday night due to conflicts between the arena and City Hall about crowd size.
“As the game progressed, the crowds became increasingly destructive, and there were many incidents of incredibly reckless and dangerous behavior,” police said.
Crowds took to the streets, shutting down traffic, jumping on vehicles and climbing on scaffolding, light poles, traffic lights and buildings, according to cops.

They also set off fireworks, tried to flip over a taxi, threw glass bottles and engaged in physical fights that led to injuries, police said.
Four NYPD vehicles had “significant damage,” including shattered front and rear windshields, according to police.
The crowds refused commands to disperse, leading to many of the arrests, the NYPD said.

Those who were arrested face charges that include assault on a police officer, criminal possession of a weapon, reckless endangerment, criminal mischief, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
After the Knicks rallied for a historic comeback, Game 5 will be held Saturday in Texas. The Knicks lead the series against the San Antonio Spurs 3-1, leaving them one win away from the championship.
