NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police believe they have found the body of a doctor who went missing on Staten Island last month, according to a report.
Tamara Saukin, 44, of Emerson Hill, was last seen in Clove Lakes Park in the early hours of Nov. 18, the NYPD said.
On Wednesday morning, police officers found a woman’s body floating in a lake inside the park, the New York Post reported. Sources told the outlet they believe the body was Saukin’s.
Saukin worked at a medical practice in Grant City up until Oct. 9, when she resigned due to what she described as “unforeseen circumstances,” the Staten Island Advance previously reported.
Saukin “had a history of suicidal thoughts and alcoholism,” the Post reported, citing law enforcement sources. An investigation is ongoing.
