NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police released images Wednesday of multiple suspects wanted for beating up a San Antonio Spurs fan in Midtown after the Knicks’ Game 3 loss in the NBA Finals on Monday night.
The victim, a 39-year-old man, was walking back to his hotel after the game around 12:15 a.m. Tuesday, when a mob ambushed him at West 47th Street and Eighth Avenue, police said.

The group surrounded him and punched and kicked him throughout his body, according to police.
They then ripped off his Spurs jersey and fled the scene on foot, police said.

The victim suffered lacerations to his face and bruising to his body. He was transported by EMS to Mount Sinai West in stable condition, police said.
The attack was just some of the chaos that unfolded in Midtown after the Knicks’ loss to the Spurs. Police said nearly two dozen people were taken into custody, with two facing charges of assault on a police officer.

Five members of the NYPD were injured in the clashes at Bryant Park and Herald Square. Police said a crowd in the area of the Bryant Park watch party “became increasingly rowdy, violent, and destructive” as they took to the streets.
Videos and photos show fans throwing bottles, tearing down street signs, uprooting trees, climbing light poles, jumping on cars and NYPD vehicles, chasing Spurs fans and yelling obscenities at officers.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
