
The Penguins are investing $30 million in updates and investments to their home, PPG Paints Arena.

The team announced along, with the arena’s management company OVG360, that several upgrades are coming to the nearly 13-year-old building.
The most notable change is a new state-of-the-art scoreboard that will now be 50-feet by 30-feet, that’s about double the size of the current scoreboard.
Along with that comes new LED ribbons board along the arena and a new sound system.
Other improvement include two new ice level bunker suits, along with a VIP event-level club suite.
The team is also building a new “all-inclusive VIP event level club” that will be in the Penguins’ double-attack zone. It will have access to Section 109 for hockey games.
During concerts it will offer premium seating next to the stage for concerts.

The improvements will be paid by the arena owner, the Sports and Exhibition Authority.
Improvements will be made in the offseason and are scheduled to be ready for the 2023-24 NHL season.
