Just because he doesn’t take the field anymore, doesn’t mean Ben Roethlisberger will stop giving back to the City of Pittsburgh.

In one of his first public appearances since calling it a pro football career, Big Ben showed up on stage with Micah Tyler at PPG Paints Arena.

Roethlisberger wasn’t there to sing, but was there to sell shirts that will then provide meals for Light of Life Mission.

With each “DIFFERENT” shirt sold at the show on Friday night, both Roethlisberger and Tyler would donate two meals to Light of Life.

A video of the exchange was recorded and by the time Ben took the stage they were over 8,400 meals.

The goal of the night was to surpass 10,000 meals which is 1/10 of what Light of Life averages per year.

A selfie was taken and the show went on, but no matter what Roethlisberger decides to do in his retirement life, he will always be there to support Pittsburgh.
