There's a new pink rose on the market with a celebrity connection. It was grown and discovered in Barbra Streisand's Malibu garden.

The singer, actor, and director named it Barbra's Baby, the second flower named after her.

"I'm really confident that this will be a great rose for a long time. It has a great story...a great plant with a great fragrance," Rose breeder Tom Carruth told KNX News' Karen Adams.

According to Carruth, it bloomed from the branch of another renowned rose known as “Lasting Love,” which he called a "remarkable hybrid."

"[Lasting Love] not only had beautiful fragrance and flower, but it had this foliage that was just stunning...So the very fact that it comes from a great rose like this means it has all those same great qualities," Carruth said, adding that Barbra's Baby bubble gum pink coloring is even more vibrant than its parent.

Barbra's Baby is available through April & Ashley, and a limited number of its seeds will be available at Otto & Sons Nursery in Ventura County.

Carruth says you should act fast if you want Barbra's Baby in your garden. "We started with just three propagating eyes that we could work with. From that, over time, we've multiplied it until we can get into the many thousands of plants of that same one," leading to the limited supply.

The privilege of owning this new rose will run you $40.
