Ike Reese was one of the only hosts predicting an Eagles win before Monday’s game, and now that the Birds did indeed get the victory over the Chiefs, Ike wasn’t holding back his praise for the quality of win.

“It’s by far the best win that we’ve seen around here, arguably since the Super Bowl in 2017,” Ike declared. “Quality of opponent, situation, the way it was set up, expectations going into the game from the masses. I can’t think of a bigger win. Those playoff games last year against the 49ers and Giants, if there were better quarterbacks in those scenarios, those would be bigger wins. But as it was, it was Daniel Jones and a bunch of damn players from the 49ers that I don’t know after Brock Purdy was hurt after four plays.”

Ike also gave equal praise to the team itself, which he says has answered every big challenge it has faced this year, which now includes a win on the road against the defending Super Bowl champions.

“When they’ve had these tests put in front of them this year, they’ve risen to the challenge,” Ike said. “Jalen versus Tua, they answered that. Then they get Dak Prescott, America’s game. Dak is 8-3 against us, he seemingly has our number. And boy, do they answer that. Good win.

“Then we get to this test. Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes coming off a bye week…I’ve heard all week how great Andy is off a bye week, and how good Mahomes is at home…and the Eagles said ‘nah, not on our watch.’”
