NBA “road trip to the trophy" postseason bus tour to tipoff in Detroit

DETROIT – As a part of the 2025 NBA Playoffs, the National Basketball Association (NBA) is delighting fans in eight markets across the country with a pop-up postseason bus tour starting in Detroit at Grand Circus Park from 11 a.m.-5:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 19.

The experience will tipoff on the day of the Pistons’ first playoff contest in New York, granting fans the unique opportunity to immerse in the NBA, with stations that let fans of all ages take a photo with the Larry O’Brien trophy, make playoff bracket predictions, get a temporary tattoo (choose your favorite Playoff team or NBA logo), insert into famous NBA celebration clips, leave videos of encouragement for their favorite teams, and win special prizes.

The activation will also include appearances from Detroit Pistons Legends, Detroit Pistons Entertainment Teams including Pistons mascot Hooper, the Detroit Pistons Dancers, Pistons Extreme Team presented by Discount Tire, Detroit Pistons DJs and Motor City Cruise mascot, Nitro and an interactive basketball experience with Pistons Academy. Fans will have the chance at exclusive giveaways, complimentary ice cream from Custard Co. and cotton candy from Spun Sugar as well as free air brush tattoos and balloon twisting.

The Pistons return to the NBA Playoffs for the first time since the 2018-19 season, taking on the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden on Saturday, April 19 at 6 p.m. on ESPN.
