An Upstate man has been sentenced to federal prison on child sex crime charges. The U.S. Department Of Justice says 26 year old, Daniel Turner Widner of Roebuck has been convicted of distributing child sex abuse material.

Court records say that an undercover officer infiltrated a online chat group moderated by Widner that focused on trading such material. The officer posed online as an 11 year old girl and was sent several images by Widner.

He also asked the undercover posing as the girl for sexually explicit photos. Widner has been sentenced to 15 years in prison. There's no early release in the federal system.
