Terry Black’s Barbecue is one of Texas’ best, and over the last five years have expanded considerably across the state. They opened their first location in North Texas in 2020 and recently opened their first spot in Fort Worth.
For true barbecue aficionados though, you may want to prepare for a weekend getaway to Houston as Terry Black’s not only has plans for a restaurant down there, but a boutique hotel!
Mike Black, founder of Black Family Hospitality, told Chron that the hotel will consist of several one-to-two-story bungalows, “to mimic the existing architecture in the neighborhood,” and will have no more than 15 rooms in total.
All bungalows will include small kitchenettes and living spaces. The hotel will be set up behind a new Terry Black’s restaurant, which they also plan on building. The bungalows and the restaurant will share a courtyard space.
Black believes the BBQ location could be open by the first half of 2026, while the hotel's unveiling is more likely to occur in 2027.
