A crowd of public figures, influencers, and survivors gathered outside Crypto.com Arena during game one of the National Hockey League playoffs on Monday night, demanding the league take action against players accused of domestic violence.

The “No Glory for Abusers” rally follows high-profile cases involving Oilers star Evander Kane, who was accused of domestic violence and sexual assault by his ex-wife, and former Boston Bruins, L.A. Kings, and Edmonton Oilers forward Milan Lucic, who was arrested in an alleged domestic violence incident in 2023.

Lucic is currently a free agent and has not played since 2023.

Rally organizer Connor McCrory said the goal was to urge the NHL to adopt a league-wide domestic abuse policy and be more transparent about how these issues are handled.

“I think they should hold them 100% accountable, and I think that goes for like any sports league,” he said. “I think that's just, you know, should be a whole thing in the sports industry.”

McCrory said they're advocating for the NHL to institute a permanent ban on repeat offenders of any type of abuse.
