“Joining forces with the 3,000 hardworking school administrators of AALA makes Local 2010 stronger and it makes our new sisters and brothers stronger too,” Jason Rabinowitz, Secretary-Treasurer of Local 2010, said. “By overwhelmingly voting to join the Teamsters, AALA recognizes that being part of North America’s strongest union will help build the power needed to win fair contracts, respect on the job, and a reasonable workload at LAUSD.”

Maria Nicholas, president of Associated Administrators of Los Angeles told the L.A. Times she heard 'people want out, they want to retire early, and they don't feel supported.'

“It’s task upon task upon task,” she said. “They’re overworked and on overload.”

In a statement to the L.A. Times, the district said it aims to provide its employees “competitive salaries, unrivaled benefits, and professional growth and development opportunities.”
