A travel influencer from West Hollywood who was charged in a suspected fatal drugged-driving crash has died.
The Lake County Medical Examiner confirmed to KNX News that 33-year-old Garrett Bruno was found dead in a home in Mount Dora, Florida on Tuesday night. They are awaiting toxicology results before they determine his cause of death.
In October 2024, Bruno was involved in a crash near Fountain and Spalding Avenues that killed 83-year-old Esther Abouab and seriously injured her husband, Joe. Bruno was charged with murder and the L.A. County District Attorney's Office said he was facing reckless driving charges.

Days after the crash, a video published by the Daily Mail showed Bruno snorting a white substance near where the crash took place. While Bruno claimed on Instagram that it was prescription ketamine, the clinic named in his post told KNX News it does not prescribe ketamine in powder form.
Bruno was set to go on trial for the deadly crash.
