Man found dead inside car in Pasadena

Police Thursday are investigating  the circumstances surrounding the death of a 19-year-old man in Pasadena.

Officers responding about 6:15 p.m. Wednesday to the scene of a single- vehicle crash in the 700 block of Rio Grande Street, about a block north of Washington Park, located a man inside a vehicle that had crashed along the north curbline, the Pasadena Police Department reported.

The El Monte resident had suffered a gunshot wound to the upper body and was unresponsive. Arriving paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene. The man's name was not immediately made public.
