Imperfect Foods is excited to announce their goal during Earth Month. They are will be a net-zero carbon business by 2030. So what does net-zero mean?

According to National Grid: Net-ero refers to the balance between the amount of greenhouse gas produced and the amount that is removed from the atmosphere. Net-zero is reached when the amount we add is no more than what we take away.

Imperfect Foods has the same passion for being net-zero carbon by 2030, as they do when it comes to reducing food waste. A few ways they plan to reach this goal:

*Convert all of their fulfillment centers to 100% renewable power by 2026.

*Going beyond their fulfillment centers with the goal of having a fully electric vehicle fleet by 2027 to reduce the emissions of their deliveries.

*Have their facilities certified at zero-waste-to-landfill operational by 2025.

*Offer more sustainable options than recyclable cardboard boxes for delivering your groceries.
