The price of eggs may be coming down a smidge, but they may still be a bit too high for you to want to dye them for Easter this year being they are 60% more expensive than last year. No worries…the crafting community has come up with some interesting alternatives that you can dye or wrap.

- Marshmallows

- Small potatoes

- Plastic or wood craft eggs: the advantage to these is their longevity. They can tend to be expensive depending on where you get them.

- Painted rocks

- Plastic eggs: harder to paint for sure but if you have any laying around already, talk about inexpensive!

One woman, who runs a party planning website says, "You still wanna have the tradition with your kids, but it's just gotten too expensive."
The list of cheaper things to dye than Easter eggs is about 50 pages long - LOL!
