It’s a common sentiment from parents to hear that their children have fundamentally changed their lives. Sometimes, it can even save their own relationships. For Miranda Lambert’s parents, the Country star serves as one of those examples.

Bev Lambert was a guest on a recent episode of Dave Grohl and his mom Virginia’s new series From Cradle to Stage, which profiles the lives of the mom’s of music’s biggest stars.
Bev met Rick Lambert when she was a 15-year-old as he admits he “was a pretty wild guy” as an undercover cop and guitarist. "[He] had long hair, had a pink jacket on. I was like, 'Don Johnson done entered into my life, this is the best day ever!'" Bev recalled.
The Lamberts were married for four years before they noticed their relationship deteriorating. Bev was managing a country club and recalled her husband telling her “I don’t want to be with you” after she says she got “weird and stupid.”
"It was my fault," she added, "but I didn't see it coming, and it was devastating."
Bev ended up moving back in with her mother as she and Rick had planned on divorcing on Valentine’s Day in 1983.". Rick came to Dallas for the proeceedings and ended up adhering to Bev’s request to stay with her. "About four months later, he got a phone call," Bev says.
That phone call ultimately changed their relationship as she informed Rick that she was pregnant with Miranda. At that moment, Bev says her husband “had a change of heart.”
"So, that's how Miranda saved my marriage!" Bev exclaimed. "We would have probably never seen each other again." The Lamberts are still married to this day.
Other guests scheduled to appear on From Cradle to Stage include Imagine Dragons' Dan Reynolds, Rage Against the Machine's Tom Morello, Rush's Geddy Lee, and Brandi Carlile.
