South Carolina steamrolled in Sunday's National Title Game

South Carolina Women's Basketball was steamrolled Sunday in the National Title Game. The Gamecocks held tough early, they trailed 19-14 after the 1st quarter and 36-26 at the half.

After the break, the game would belong to Uconn as they scored 46 2nd half points on their way to a 82-59, blowout win. The Huskies shot 48% from the floor, despite shooting just 23% from three point range. Uconn got 36 of their 82 points from inside the paint.

Freshman Center Sarah Strong was just that notching a double-double of 24 points and 15 boards. All-American Paige Bueckers added 17. Tessa Johnson and Joyce Edwards led South Carolina with 10 each.

It's the 1st loss in a National Title Game for South Carolina under Coach Dawn Staley.
