JASON WEEMS is a proud native of Baltimore, MD, a versatile standup comedian, radio host & actor. His extremely engaging & conversational style of comedy leaves audiences feeling like they've just finished talking to a close friend. It also simultaneously acts as free therapy for him. Known for his lightning sharp wit & observations, Jason brings levity to everything he touches.

He matriculated through the Baltimore City School system, where he graduated from the illustrious Paul Laurence Dunbar High School. The son of educators, Jason would later go on to work for over a decade within the same system, bringing his gift to the classroom & thousands of children over his years in education.

Jason began his journey towards the stage while attending his beloved HBCU, Morgan State University (1998-2002). Here is where he began laying the foundation for his ever-growing career in entertainment, hosting countless shows & events.

Officially beginning his comedy career in the fall of 2006, he has dispersed countless “Good Ass Jokes” to crowds across the nation for nearly two decades. Jason has been seen at the most prestigious (invitation-only) comedy festival in the world, The Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal alongside countless clubs, theaters and colleges. Some of his other notable credits include NBC’s Last Comic Standing, FOX & The Apollo. Jasons’ acting has landed him National TV commercials for TBS, as well as starring in acclaimed independent films such as “Wits End”. His first hour-long comedy special, entitled “Jason Weems Vol. 1: Intellectual Property,” was filmed in his hometown and released independently in 2010. In 2014, his online sketch series “The Lunchtime Show” premiered on Marlon Wayans’ comedy platform, “What The Funny”. In 2017, Jason was a finalist at the HBO sponsored American Black Film Festival Comedy Competition in Miami. On December 1, 2018 Jason filmed his latest comedy special “Jason Weems: Unknown” that was released nationally via Amazon Prime Video in 2020.

His live show is truly one of a kind, and is tailor fit to each unique crowd. In conjunction with standup, Jason can be heard in the popular serialized podcast “First Day Back”, where he is the focus of the newly released Season 3, as well as a new co-host of WPGC 95.5 FM’s Morning Show that can be heard from 6am-10am M-F.

Jason currently resides in his hometown of Baltimore, MD with his beautiful wife & 3 sons.
