MONROE COUNTY (WWJ) – A man suspected of stealing multiple snowmobiles and enclosed trailers in Monroe County last month has been arrested.
Authorities have not released the suspect’s name, but said he was arrested Tuesday after fleeing police after a traffic stop over the weekend.
The suspect is being held at the Lenawee County Jail, awaiting formal arraignment. Officials say the stolen property has been recovered and returned to the rightful owners.
Authorities say he allegedly stole the snowmobiles and trailers from a storage facility in Dundee Township over the span of 30 days.
On Sunday, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office sent out a press release asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect, who was seen in body camera images inside a Dodge Ram.
