If marijuana is now legal in Michigan, why is the annual Hash Bash still such a big deal?

(WWJ) -- For half a century, people have come from near and far to Hash Bash in Ann Arbor, advocating for the legalization of marijuana and celebrating all things cannabis on the University of Michigan campus.

But now that recreational marijuana is legal statewide, activists still say Hash Bash is as important as ever. WWJ’s Zach Clark explores why in a new edition of The Daily J.

Hash Bash is scheduled for high noon on Saturday, April 2, with Attorney General Dana Nessel and several state representatives set to speak.
