After more than half a century in business, retailer Bed Bath & Beyond says it is shutting down.
"We have made the difficult decision to begin winding down our operations," the company's website says. "Thank you to all of our loyal customers."
Officials say they will start going out of business sales on Wednesday.
Bed Bath & Beyond suffered huge losses during the pandemic and has not been able to recover. The company did not embrace online sales until after many other competitors.
Executives filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
Remaining stores in Louisiana include locations in Metairie, Denham Springs, Baton Rouge and Lafayette.
