The New Orleans Police Department is looking for a hit-and-run driver who seriously injured a child last month.
Around 11:15 a.m. on March 3, police say a Dodge Challenger (pictured) hit a child on a bicycle on Downman Road near Lewis Road, and kept on going. The child suffered life-threatening injuries.
"The driver of the vehicle was described as being a dark-complected, slim-build Black female with dreadlocks, who was reportedly in her 20s," said police.
The Challenger is described as burnt orange in color with rally stripes on the hood and roof.
The vehicle had temporary tags and significant front-end damage from the collision.
