“Shake It music video out at midnight….Go Geek!”, Cardi tweeted last week. The newly-released collab samples the hook from Akon’s 2004 single “Bananza (Belly Dancer).” “I’m with the s**** and it give me a rush. Shorty be lookin’, think she got a crush. I’m not a steppa’, b****, I’m a stomper. All of my opps get mixed with the grabba. Broke b**** said she was gon’ touch me. She lyin’, hakuna matata,” Cardi raps on the track. “Shake It” even has a viral social media challenge. Currently, the “Shake It” challenge has 1.6 billion views on TikTok.
And to make the challenge even more cool, Cardi B has joined in! “Lmmmaaaaoooooo… This is all I could give you SHAKE IT,” she captioned the video on Instagram Wednesday. In the post, Cardi is seen playfully attempting to dance to her own song. The humorous clip, re-posted from TikTok, now has over a million likes.
Recently, the “WAP” rapper returned to Twitter and Instagram after removing herself from the platforms during the 2022 GRAMMYs. At the time, fans atrociously criticized Cardi for not attending the award ceremony, which resulted in her temporarily deactivating her social media accounts shortly afterwards.
